How to draw fan art

These two head shapes would fit most characters, but there are of course many more.
So, step 1 - Is your character's head more shaped like Sebastian's or Ciel's?
Hint: girls tend to lean towards Ciel's head shape & men tend to lean towards Sebastian's.

Pick one and follow the walk-through to draw a head.

2. Eyes
I usually draw the top and bottom line of the eye first (lines 2 & 4 in the tutorial).
These lines will look different depending on which character I'm drawing.
For example, Sebastian's eyes are thin and the top line is slanted towards his nose.
Ciel's eye's are the complete opposite - big and slanted the other way.

So say for example that I'm drawing Levi from Shingeki no kyojin:
I'd pick Ciel's head shape, draw thin eyes with a straight top line, a curved bottom line and a small pupil,
draw straight or "disappointed-looking" eyebrows, draw his bangs and skip every step of the hair tutorial until step 5, and done!
